The complete saying goes, “Always look for the fool in the deal. If you don’t find one, it’s you.” Sammy Zherka clarifies that you shouldn’t make a fool out of your clients or business partners, however. What Mark Cuban is saying is that bad deals exist, and one way business owners can protect themselves is to research, ask questions, and be brave enough to walk away from a bad deal.
3. Keep at it – Sam Zherka says business owners need to have some skin in the game. This means learning from their mistakes and failures and trying again. The key to surviving is to reiterate. You don’t have to get everything right and perfect from the get-go. Remember that successful businesses are built little by little – never overnight. Sammy Zherka warns that good ideas are a dime a dozen; what separates the best and the brilliant from the mediocre still lies in their execution.
